 Haridwar - Gateway to God

Haridwar literally means "The Gateway to God". Haridwar is among the four places where Maha Kumbh Meal is held every 12 years. Millions of devotees flock to Haridwar to take a holy dip in the sacred Ganga river at Hari-ki-Pauri. The evening prayer at dusk (Aarti) offered to Goddess Ganga at Hari-Ki-Pauri (steps towards God Hari) is an enchanting experience for any visitor.

Tungnath and Panch Kedar

The temple of Tungnath is considered to be more than 1000 years old. The temple is magnificent in its style and architecture. The Tungnath temple compound contains the main temple dedicated to Lord Shiva and Godess Parvati, few other smaller temples can be seen in the close vicinity.


Devprayag

DevPrayag is set on the confluence of Alaknanda and Bhagirathi rivers and is considered to be one of the 'Panch prayag'. From DevPrayag onwards, the river is known as Ganga. Just above the ghat at Devprayag is the great temple of Raghunathji which is claimed to have been erected some ten thousand years ago.

Hemkund Sahib

Though Hemkund Sahib is a popular Sikh pilgrimage centre, its challenging 19 km challenging trek from Govindghat to the Hemkund lake, invites lakhs of trekking enthusiasts. The entire trek from Ghangharia to Hemkund offers panaromic views and several varieties of wild flowers including the State Flower of Uttarakhand - Brahamkamal.

 Kailash Mansarovar Yatra

The holy Mountain Kailash & Manas Lake have been, the source of inspiration for many religions and beliefs. Despite many difficulties and long distances, people are keen to go there at least once in their lives. Situated on the other side of Himalayas of Uttarakhand, Kailash & Mansarovar are the most pious and most beautiful shrines.
